TIGER THAI COLD BREW

About the Recipe

If you've ever had the saccharine experience of a glass of iced thai tea from a boba or tea shop, then you'll love this one.

We're making a fun tiger-stripe iced latte with a layer of sweetened condensed coconut milk, then thai tea, and topping it with a rich and creamy nitro cold brew for a strong pick me up.

If you don't have the sweetened condensed milk, you can make some at home by reducing equal parts full fat coconut milk with sugar or maple syrup. If it's too sweet, reduce the sugar to your liking, or simply substitute with your favorite creamy plant-based milk and sweeten to your liking! A word of caution, however, it's the thickness of the sweetened condensed coconut milk that will allow for this to have the layered affect.

You're going to want 1-2 cans of nitro cold brew, depending on how much coffee you prefer. You will carefully shake the can to activate the rich, foaming goodness. It's important that the ice is already in the glass at this point. Once you open the can, gently pour it over top the layered condensed milk and thai tea mixture, and voila, tiger thai tea cold brew!

You're gonna love this one, enjoy!

Ingredients

Preparation

In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Add the Thai tea leaves and let steep for 5-7 minutes.

Strain the tea into the pitcher or jar with the unsweetened macadamia milk.

Divide sweetned condensed milk evenly among two to three glasses with ice.

Slow pour thai tea mixture over sweetened condensed milk, leaving room in each glass.

Carefully shake and open the can of nitro cold brew coffee and shake well.

Slowly pour the nitro cold brew coffee over the back of a spoon on top of the Thai tea mixture, creating a layered effect.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
